How to Install McAfee+ on Multiple Devices

McAfee+ is famous for its "Unlimited Devices" policy. Because you will likely be installing this on your PC, your spouse's laptop, and your children's smartphones, the best way to handle installation is through the central web dashboard.

Step 1: Setting Up the Primary PC

We recommend starting the setup process on your main desktop or laptop computer.

Log into your McAfee account on their official website.
Click on the Downloads & Devices tab.
Click "Download" to install the software on the computer you are currently using.
Run the downloaded installer file. McAfee will automatically link the software to your account without requiring a manual serial key.

Step 2: Sending Links to Family Devices

You do not need to log into your McAfee account on every single device you own to install the software.

Go back to the Downloads & Devices tab on your main PC's dashboard.
Click Protect More Devices.
Choose how you want to send the installation link (Email or SMS Text Message).
Open that email or text on your secondary device (like an iPad or Android phone) and click the link. It will automatically download the correct app version and tie it to your unlimited license.

Activating Scam Protection on Mobile

Once you install the McAfee app on a smartphone, you must manually give it permission to scan your text messages. Open the app, navigate to "Scam Protection," and follow the prompts to allow the app to filter out dangerous phishing links from your SMS inbox.
